Making a house is like writinga poem .Designing a house comes easily to me in the same way that writing a poem comes easily to Emily Dickinson or Pablo Neruda .All good houses are poems and all good poems convey truth in some manner .Like all good poems ,good houses are transcendend . They piont to something eles -beauty,truth,love,even the divine . I needed to- and still need to - know these things through my work . By Award-winning architect Ken Tate
美丽是人们一直追求的目标，有人说美丽的东西只存在于虚拟世界，也有人说古色古香的艺术作品能让人洞悉美丽......
那么怎样才能在灵光一现时捕捉到美丽，怎么才能将美丽真实的表现在空间里呢？
设计就像写诗，不同的是写诗用文字垒砌，设计则用石头、原木或者灰浆创作。通过和本案主人公的耐心交流发现，他们对新古典主义尤为关注。于是我们畅所欲言，谈古希腊神殿的雄伟，谈古罗马角斗场的恢弘，还有充满神秘宗教色彩的哥特式教堂，以及奢华的洛可可.....
我们也聊到了法国乡村城堡，地中海度假别墅，还有热情的西班牙风格，浪漫的意大利情节，还有密西西比河畔的乡村美式。最后我们达成了一致意见：整个居室以生活舒适为主，将一些经典的古典主义融入其中，力求凸显生活品质。
围绕这一要求，设计师开始在材料的选择、色彩的搭配、以及灯光的考虑中唤起对古典主义的记忆.....
