大家早上好，特别祝贺大家万圣节快乐！你们有过西方节日的习惯吗？它们具体都是些什么呢？
Sometimes, we say that we Chinese neglect our traditional holidays, then whycelebrating all those foreign ones?
有时候，我们总会说我们中国人都忽视了自己国家的传统节日，为什么要庆祝那些外国的节日呢？
But the truth is, there are all kinds of businesscelebrations in the shops, on the stands, all over your houses, and these makeus very very hard to neglect the importance of foreign holidays.
事实上是，外国节日有各种各样的庆祝方式，商店里，街道上，每个家庭里，这样的方式使得我们非常不容易忽视西方节日的重要性。
The aged people around us or coming into big cities fromtheir villages don't know much about holidays, fashionable and foreign, butthey do go to supermarkets for daily necessities. Seeing all kinds ofdecorations for Halloween or Christmas, they are actually part of that.
我们周五上了年纪的或者是那些从乡村里来到大城市的人们，对西方节日，习俗的了解不多，他们去超级市场的目的也是为了购买日常所需，看到万圣节或者圣诞节的各种各样的装饰品，他们事实上会比较陌生。
You don't think your parents know the date of Valentines'Day and have no sense celebrating that, do you? If not, you are outdated.Becasue every grandma or grandpa around me knows not only Valentines' Day, butalso Mother's Day, Father's Day.
你认为你的父母不知道万圣节这个节日，而且也没有庆祝万圣节的意识，是吧？如果是这样，那么你就过时了，因为我们周围的爷爷奶奶们不仅知道万圣节而且知道母亲节和父亲节。
And they do sincerely expect greetings from us for theirown Mother or Father's big days. Because business wants a new boom in foreignholidays, they decorate their shops and stands to attract attention and alsosell their products much easier.
而且他们殷切的期望在属于他们的父亲节和母亲节里能得到来自我们的特别问候和祝福。在西方节日里，商家会想要营造一中全新的氛围，他们会装饰他们的商铺和招牌来吸引注意力，同时也会以较便宜的价格来出售他们的商品。
So, to some extent, we Chinese are somewhat forced tocelebrate important foreign holidays and are usually pushed forward bybusiness.
因此，一定程度上，我们中国人是被强迫去庆祝那些重要的外国节日的，通常是那些商家推动起来的。
If it helps the economy boom and makes our life colourful and interesting, ifwe don't see that as a culture invasion, then, what's the bad thing for that?
这样的方式有利于我们经济的繁荣，也会使我们的生活多姿多彩，充满乐趣，如果我们只看到了多彩的一面，而没有看到不好的一面，那么这些不好的一面是些什么呢？
Nothing, except the kidgartens lay too much emphasis onforeign holidays. They have big parties, they decorate their rooms, they makeparents do lots of handicrafts for foreign holidays, neglecting sometraditional Chinese holidays.
其他都不说了，特别是幼儿园非常强调过西方的节日。他们会举办大量的庆祝活动，装扮房间，让父母为西方的那些节日做大量的手工作品，而忽视了一些传统的中国节日。
